At the start of the game, the player and dealer are dealt with two cards which they can combine with three community cards.  You can choose then to fold at this time.  But if you are brave enough, and continue on with the game, another community card is then laid out.  Still feeling lucky?  Continue for another round.  After which, a showdown commences.  The one with the higher poker hand wins.
